GUWAHATI: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly was reportedly involved in a car accident on Thursday night, February 20 while travelling on the Durgapur Highway. The incident allegedly occurred near Dantanpur as he was en route to Burdwan for an event.

According to reports, no one was injured, though Ganguly’s car sustained minor damage. The former cricketer was travelling in his SUV at normal speed when a lorry reportedly attempted to cut into his convoy, causing the vehicle to lose control. Ganguly’s driver immediately applied the brakes, but this reportedly led to a chain collision, with the car behind bumping into his vehicle.
Fortunately, Ganguly and his convoy escaped unharmed, and he proceeded to attend the scheduled events in Burdwan.
