Speaking on the challenges he faced during this endeavour, Hazarika described the swim as both "greatly difficult and adventurous." Battling freezing cold water, strong currents, and the presence of various sea creatures, including jellyfish and seals, the experience was far from easy. "The freezing cold water, salt water, and heavy current made it even more difficult. It was extremely tiring, the swim, overall," he remarked, reflecting on the physical and mental fortitude required to complete the journey.
Hazarika’s accomplishment in the Baltic Sea adds to his list of accolades as a long-distance swimmer. His successful swim across the Gulf of Puck not only sets a new benchmark for Assamese athletes but also inspires the next generation to pursue their dreams.
