Eclectic Publications acquired by Itanagar-based publishing house

GUWAHATI: Itanagar-based S&G Printing & Publishing House recently acquired the Eclectic Northeast magazine. The deal also included online properties and related assets and brands of Eclectic Publications.

“Our vision is not to limit ourselves to Arunachal Pradesh per se but to reach out to the entire NER. Through Eclectic Northeast, we look forward to bridge the expanse of space and communities and help shape public opinion, while enabling the rest of the country to get a glimpse of the unique and vibrant Northeast,” said Jarpum Gamlin, Proprietor S&G Printing & Publishing House. Gamlin is also the publisher and founding editor of Itanagar-based English daily, Eastern Sentinel.

Tanushree Hazarika, Managing Director, Eclectic Publications said, "The way forward for media to grow in this saturated space is to find mutual synergies, partners or through acquisitions. The path chosen to acquire Eclectic Publications was based on mutual trust, understanding and shared vision for Northeast India."

Adding to this, she said, "From baby steps, the magazine's readership has grown to more than 2 lakhs. The response has been tremendous and with growing interest in the digital world, its online foray has been equally successful."
