The Election Commission has set up a committee to examine Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on March 28 about successfully testing the Anti-Satellite (ASAT) Missile. This is in regard to the model code of conduct which is currently in force for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
A spokesperson for the Election Commission said that the poll panel has directed a committee of officers to examine the matter immediately.
Opposition parties have also alleged that PM Modi’s address was a violation of the model code of conduct (MCC) and has demanded action by the election commission, according to a report by PTI.
