Earthquake rocks Assam

GUWAHATI: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted India’s northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh on July 19.

Reportedly, tremors felt in most parts of Northeast, including Assam.

As per reports, the epicentre of the quake is said to be at East Kameng, which is about 100 kilometres northwest of Itanagar, 61 kilometres northeast of Bomdila and 315 kilometres east of Thimpu, Bhutan.

No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
