GUWAHATI: A bizarre incident took place in Kerala’s Kasaragod, where an eagle swooped down and snatched a candidate’s hall ticket just minutes before the start of a Public Service Commission (PSC) exam.

The incident took place on Thursday, April 10, at the Government UP school around 7:15 AM, moments before the scheduled 7:30 AM timing for the exam to begin.
According to reports, the candidate had arrived early and was revising outside the exam centre when he placed his hall ticket beside him. Unexpectedly, an eagle descended, picked up the document in its beak, and perched on a high window ledge above the nearby parish hall. The scene played out in front of nearly 300 fellow candidates, who watched in disbelief.
Suggestions from onlookers to scare the bird or throw stones were reportedly declined by the candidate, who feared the eagle might fly off with the ticket permanently. With the exam start time approaching and tension rising, the eagle dropped the hall ticket at last, allowing the candidate to retrieve it and enter the examination hall just in time.
Officials later confirmed that strict rules prevent entry without a hall ticket, and no exceptions are made, even in such extraordinary circumstances. Had the eagle not released the document, the candidate would have missed the examination.
Online footage of the eagle clutching the hall ticket has sparked widespread amusement. “Imagine explaining that to your parents,” wrote one user. Another joked, “That student’s exam stress probably vanished after this!”
