GUWAHATI: The 101-feet tall Durga idol installed by Guwahati-based artist Nuruddin Ahmed has been enlisted in the Limca Book of Records for the tallest Durga idol.
The idol was made of bamboo and was installed at the Bishnupur Sarbajanin Puja Committee pandal in 2017.

Ahmed is an alumnus of JJ College of Arts, Mumbai and Lalit Kala Academy. He has also been associated with the mobile theatre movement of Assam since 37 years.
