GUWAHATI: In a recent development, top police official, Ima Das, responsible for the security of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been transferred and promoted to a higher rank, according to an official notification issued by the Home Department.
Ima Das, who held the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) overseeing the security arrangements for CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, has now been transferred to a new role.
She has been posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ), Darrang, as per the notification.
“....in the interest of public service, Smti Ima (Jas, APS (DR-2016), Dy. SP (Security) to CM, Assam is transferred and posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ), Darrang with effect from the date of taking over charge against an existing vacancy,” the notification stated.
