GUWAHATI: In Dibrugarh, a young woman allegedly under the influence of alcohol sparked a series of accidents near the under-construction Thana Chariali flyover on Sunday, October 27.

The woman, driving a vehicle with registration number AS 19E 4127 allegedly hit several vehicles before her car eventually crashed into a blacksmith's shed.
Confirming the incident, the Traffic IC from Dibrugarh Police Station stated, "A drunk woman caused an accident near the under-construction Thana Chariali flyover. Three individuals were injured, with one sustaining a severe leg injury, while the other two suffered minor injuries." The victims have been transported to Brahmaputra Hospital and Assam Medical College and Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Following the incident, local residents discovered several bottles of alcohol in the woman’s car.
The Dibrugarh police apprehended the woman and escorted her to the police station for further investigation.
