GUWAHATI: The Cachar Police have recovered narcotics worth approximately ₹1 crore in a recently planned operation on January 20.

Acting on reliable information, the operation was conducted at the Digharkhal Toll Gate, where a vehicle coming from a neighbouring state was intercepted.
The search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 8,640 bottles of Codeine Phosphate cough syrup, and 2 kg of Ganja (cannabis).
One individual has been arrested in connection with this seizure. The apprehended person is currently in police custody, and further investigations are underway.
