Drugs Worth Over ₹11 Crore Seized in Assam's Cachar & Karbi Anglong

 

GUWAHATI: In a series of anti-narcotics operations, Assam Police seized drugs worth over ₹11 crore in separate incidents across the state.

Firstly, in Cachar district, police conducted a major operation at Dighar Fulertol, leading to the seizure of 1.17 kg of suspected heroin valued at ₹5.1 crore. In a second operation, Cachar police also recovered 73.97 kg of ganja worth ₹38 lakh from Dhanehari under the jurisdiction of Sonai Police Station.

Meanwhile, in another operation, Karbi Anglong police intercepted a bus at Dillai Tiniali, which was travelling from a neighbouring state. During the search, they seized 1.22 kg of suspected heroin, estimated to be worth ₹6 crore.

Further investigations are underway in all the cases to identify and apprehend those involved in the illegal trade.
