GUWAHATI: A team led by ACP Mousumi Kalita, Women Police Station (Pan Bazar) issued notices to a number of girls from Thailand working in health spas and salons across the city.
The police found violation in the working visas of these girls as the visas were endorsed by firms not located in Guwahati. The owners of the spas in Guwahati have not taken the permits for these girls.
The checks are being done as per the order of Commissioner of Police, Hiren Chandra Nath. The police drive is meant to check violation of working visas by foreign nationals.

Those found with violation in visas have been given 7 days to rectify the same. The police will continue its drive against those employing foreigners with invalid work permits.
