Devendra Bishnoi Secures Silver In Cycling At 38th National Games

 

GUWAHATI: Cyclist Devendra Bishnoi, one of the athletes of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) National Centre of Excellence (NCOE) Guwahati has won a silver medal in the Men’s Elite Team Sprint event at the 38th National Games.

Bishnoi’s achievement brings pride to NCOE Guwahati and also to the entire cycling community in India. His success adds to Assam’s medal tally at the ongoing National Games in Uttarakhand.

Notably, Assam has claimed a total of 14 medals as of  February 4. Assam currently ranks 25th in the overall standings, with its athletes securing nine silver and five bronze medals, though yet to clinch a gold.

The 38th National Games, which commenced on January 28, are set to conclude on February 14. 37 teams are competing across 43 sporting disciplines in this multi-sport event.
