GUWAHATI: The third Cabinet Meeting of Assam Government under the leadership of Chief Minister (CM) Himanta Biswa Sarma was held in Haflong, Dima Hasao on Wednesday, January 19. The Cabinet took a number of decisions after multiple rounds of discussions.

1. The second zoo in Assam will come up in Silchar.
2. An amount of Rs 240 crore will be spent by Assam Government for building the Zoo.
3. 10 Colleges in Assam to have Science and Commerce Departments.
4. Home quarantine for government employees is for one week, will have to attend office from 8th day onwards.
5. 6 disputed areas on the Assam-Meghalaya border are to be resolved soon.
