GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 2403 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday, September 14. The cases were detected from all across the state, out of 32,242 COVID tests conducted. This was informed by the Health Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Sarma wrote, "Alert ~ 2403 COVID cases detected today out of 32242 tests done in last 24 hours." The positivity rate for the infection is 7.45%.
"With this, the total number of COVID cases in Assam has gone up to 1,44,166.
Further, with 1,918 patients discharged from various hospitals within the last 24 hours, active cases in Assam stands at 28,630 while 1,15,051 persons have been cured of the virus.
The COVID-19 death toll in Assam stands at 482.
