GUWAHATI: Health minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, took to Twitter this afternoon informing about 2 more deaths from the state. The two deceased persons were a 78 and a 56 year old person.
“With heavy heart, I share this with you all ~ We’ve lost two precious lives to the pandemic. Late Prabhudayal Vidawatka (78) & Late Subhash Kalita (56), with comorbidities succumbed to #COVID19. My prayers and condolences are with Vidawatka and Kalita families,” tweeted the minister.

With this, the death toll in Assam has risen to 14 while the total number of cases remains at 8,955 as per the health minister’s latest Twitter COVID update posted at 11:55 pm last night.
Of the total number of persons affected by the virus so far, 3,109 are currently active and 5,831 patients have been cured of the virus.
