GUWAHATI: With as many as 149 new cases being reported for coronavirus in India in the past 24 hours, the total number of positive Covid-19 cases in the country has risen to 873, as per the ministry of health and family welfare.
As per the figures available at 9.30 AM on March 28, out of these 873 cases, 47 are foreign nationals. Further, 79 persons have been cured, discharged or have migrated so far.
The death toll in India reached 19 and Maharashtra has been the worst affected by the virus.
It is to be mentioned that no positive COVID-19 case has been detected in Assam till now. However, two people have tested positive for the virus in northeast- one person each from Manipur and Mizoram.
