GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metropolitan district administration and health department have sealed off the Milanpur Masjid No 2 at Chandmari in Guwahati on April 27.
According to reports, Mohabbat Hussain, the muezzin, visited the mosque after returning from Nalbari - a district that has been classified as a COVID-19 hotspot.
Locals also alleged that Hussain, after returning from Nalbari, visited the mosque and also recited azan.

Meanwhile, the Masjid was sealed off for 14 days on the night of April 26, 2020.
Apart from Nalbari, four other districts in Assam have been identified as COVID-19 hotspots, tese being Golaghat, Morigaon, Goalpara and Dhubri.
