GUWAHATI: A huge stash of Fake Indian Counterfeit Notes (FICN) has been seized by the police in an operation in Nagaon on October 19.
The operation conducted by Sub-Inspector Adith Boro and the team from Dhing Police Station, Nagaon cracked down on the counterfeit currency racket which resulted in the recovery of ₹71,800 in counterfeit Indian currency, all in the ₹200 denomination.
The accused behind the operation has been apprehended, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the person.
Nagaon Police took to X to put out,” An operation conducted by SI Adith Boro, OC Dhing PS & team led to the recovery of ₹71800/ Fake Indian Currency in ₹200/ denomination. The accused is apprehended for further Legal Action.”
