Cotton University Gets Dedicated Power Line 

 

GUWAHATI: Cotton University marked a milestone on November 14 with the inauguration of an 11 KV HT Dedicated Feeder, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply to the entire university. 

Speaking to GPlus, a senior official from Cotton University, said, "This long-pending and crucial requirement has been fulfilled today, ensuring a continuous 24X7 power service."

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Assam Power Minister Nandita Garlosa, officials from Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), and key representatives from the university. 

Speaking to GPlus, Prof Ramesh Chandra Deka, the Vice Chancellor of Cotton University said, "This is a momentous day for us today since the university gets 11 KV HT dedicated feeder today." 

Addressing the media, Minister Garlosa said, "It was a discussion we had in November 2022. Cotton University will benefit from this power line." 

The successful implementation of the 11 KV HT Dedicated Feeder is poised to significantly benefit the academic and research activities at Cotton University, further solidifying its position as a leading institution in the region.
