Congress Leaders Felicitate Assam Bachao Video Contest Winners with iPhones

GUWAHATI: The leaders of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee on February 27 felicitated the winners of the Assam Bachao Video Contest.


The winners received an iPhone 12 each for submitting the best videos per day. Among the winners is Manaswita Mahanta of Guwahati, who pointed out through her video that the ruling government is working on foot over-bridges and flyovers, however at the same time, does not maintain basic transportation facilities in the state.


Bishal Goala from Silchar submitted his entry showcasing haphazard garbage disposal in Assam.


Manash Gogoi from Silchar, through his Assam Bachao contest entry, shed light on the issue of Child Labour in Assam, which is increasing day by day.


Himanshu Bharat Borah from Tezpur raised an important question about the preservation of architectural sites of Assam.


Rainy Borgohain from Sonari shed light on failed water-resource projects in her locality and negligence of the Assam Government regarding restoration of important architectural sites. 


Basant Rai from Baithalangso showcased the dilapidated conditions of schools in Assam, which did not even have proper sanitation facilities.


Members of the Congress party informed that their unique and emphatic venture - the Assam Bachao Video Contest - has been receiving an overwhelming response across the state. The party earlier called upon the masses to submit their entries through a 2 minute video using the hashtag #AssamBachao, highlighting local grievances faced by the grassroots. 


Congress re-affirmed to the people that the voices of their plight will never fall on deaf ears when the party comes to power.
