Combating Covid-19: City Bus Services Suspended With Immediate Effect Till March 24

GUWAHATI: Supporting the Janata Curfer called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and as a necessary preventive measure, bus services have been suspended across the city till the March 24, starting from the March 22.

Pradip Das, President of Guwahati Transport Authority, speaking to GPlus confirmed that all buses have been barred from operating till the March 24 and would resume services on March 25 again.

"The city bus association has decided to suspend the bus services till 24th March," said Kamrup(M) Deputy Commissioner, Biswajit Pegu.

Further, Ola have also suspended its services during the duration of the Janata Curfew, that is from 7 am to 9 pm. Ola has notified its customers on the same via messages.
