CM Sonowal’s Security Personnel Sent to Quarantine; Speculations Rife as Swab Test Result Awaited

GUWAHATI: A NSG jawan who was part of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal's security has been sent to quarantine from 29th April last. 

The security personnel who hails from Uttarakhand, had been suffering from fever and cough from a couple of days prior to his quarantine prescription. His colleagues, fearing a COVID-19 infection, informed senior officials.

As such, the person is now under quarantine and reportedly his swab will be taken today for testing.

If the jawan tests positive, the question arises whether the chief minister himself along with all his security personnel and officials that remain within his immediate proximity will have to be quarantined.

While speculations can go on and on in this regard, the result of the jawan's swab test is eagerly awaited as of now.
