City’s top pediatrician arrested on assault charges

Dr Prakritish Bora, one of the city's top most pediatricians, who practices in International Hospital and Excelcare Hospital, was arrested by Panbazar Police on 20th July, on an assault case filed by his colleague, Dr Soma Dhar.  Reportedly, Dr Bora visited Dr Dhar's residence at Maligaon with malafide intentions. Dr. Dhar, along with her husband, who is a businessman and owns a hotel at Lakhtokia, pinned him down and managed to lock him from outside. The couple thereafter lodged an assault charge against Bora, who was later arrested by the Panbazar Police. The accused would be produced before the Kamrup Chief Judicial Magistrate court. Reportedly, Dr Prakritish Bora has been very erratic in his work lately, and is often under the influence of alcohol.
