GUWAHATI: China provided satellite data to India for Assam and Bihar’s flood hit areas, said China’s ambassador to India Sun Weidong.
Weidong tweeted that Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had requested China for international disaster relief support.
Weidong tweeted On July 26: “Following #ISRO's request for international disaster relief support, #China has provided #India with satellite data on #India's flood-hit regions to assist its flood relief efforts. Hope all gets well soon.”
Further, the ministry of external affairs in a statement said that so far India has received data from eight countries.
“ISRO has also provided information to other Space Agencies in response to similar requests,” said the statement.
