CBSE To Introduce Two Board Exams For Class X From 2025-26

 

GUWAHATI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Tuesday, February 25, that it will introduce a system of two board examinations for Class X students starting from the 2025-26 academic session. This decision is set with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises providing students with opportunities to increase their academic performance.

The decision was made following a meeting chaired by the Minister of Education.  A draft policy has been formulated after extensive deliberations and is now accessible on the CBSE website for public review.

CBSE has invited feedback from all stakeholders on the proposed changes. Responses are welcome until March 9, 2025. The feedback received will be carefully considered before the policy is finalised and implemented.
