For those CBSE schools specifically located in winter-bound areas, the practical exams and internal assessments for both classes will take place from November 5 to December 5, 2024. The subject-wise timetable for the theory exams is expected to be released in December 2024.

The board has also provided detailed guidelines regarding the exam structure. The circular includes information such as class, subject codes, and names, along with the distribution of maximum marks for internal, theory, and practical exams. It also specifies if an external examiner will be appointed for practical exams and what types of answer books will be used in the theory exams.

As per the circular, CBSE has offered a 25% relaxation for students in cases of emergencies such as medical situations or participation in national or international sports events. However, students seeking this relaxation must submit appropriate documentation.

In 2025, around 44 lakh students from 8,000 schools in India and abroad will appear for the CBSE Class 10 board exams. To be eligible for the exams, students must maintain a minimum attendance rate of 75%.
