BSNL adopts cashless payment

A press meet was organised on Tuesday and Wednesday at Conference hall BSNL Bhawan Panbazar on Cashless transaction. All the General Managers of 7 telecom districts of Assam and other  Senior Officers of BSNL Assam Circle  and two Senior officers of SBI ,Kaushik Sinha ,DGM SBI and Manoranjan Samar ,AGM(IT) SBI were present in this press meet.  By addressing the press , DGM SBI Kaushik Sinha appreciated BSNL for upgrading  317 branches of SBI in less time saying that “Earlier while opening account or for any other transactions it takes 20-25 mins but now after upgradation it takes only 2 mins.” He requested BSNL to upgrade the 42 branches which are in VSAT now by 15th January 2017.    The following issues were discussed during the meet regarding cashless payment: Providing Broadband connection to all households in Assam@ Rs.249 per month underthe Governments initiative of “HAR GHAR INTERNET”. Pushing up the Cashless Assam by connecting all remote areas of Assam. Various public & private enterprises and tea gardens have been contacted in cashless payment of salaries and wages. Bank Networks are being made robust to ensure all time connectivity. All BSNL CSC have been provisioned with EDC(Card Swiping machinesd) terminals. All existing Landline  customers can now get BroadBand @ Rs.9/- per month. Now customer can pay their outstanding bills and online recharges by cashless Payment Modes: i.e.,Credit / Debit Cards, Net Banking, Cash Cards.   Stay updated on the go with GPlus News.
