GUWAHATI: Robbers decamped with valuables worth ₹8 lakh and ₹1 lakh in cash from a house at Dwaraka Nagar, Maligaon on July 15.

The crime took place between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM.
The victim, identified as Bhabesh Chandra Kalita, reported that the robbers gained entry through the back of the house while it was unoccupied.
Kalita mentioned that similar incidents have been reported in the locality previously, with thieves specifically targeting cash and jewelry when the houses are empty.
An official from the Gaushala Outpost stated, "The investigation is underway. We have a list of suspects and we are working on it."
