'Brahmastra' Stops Midway At Guwahati PVR, Cinema Goers Unhappy With Services

GUWAHATI: In a bizarre situation, the movie goers who went to watch the 9:30 PM show of Brahmastra at PVR Guwahati were unhappy with the film projecting company. Many even asked for refunds of the ticket charged.

A resident of Guwahati who went to watch Brahmastra at the 9:30 PM show on September 14 at PVR said, "There was some audio-related issue for around 30 minutes. The film started over 2-3 times. Ultimately, we had to ask for refunds." He added that later the technical issue was resolved. He also said that viewers who pushed for the refund were provided with it but after a long wait. PVR did not want to provide the refund at first.

It is not the first time that PVR services are at question. A State government employee of Tripura Government, Sandeepan Dhar while talking to G Plus said, "I watched RRR in Guwahati PVR and I have decided that never again I will watch a film there." Dhar added that suddenly the film stops for a while and resumed screening after a gap of 10 to 20 minutes which is not acceptable from such a brand. Dhar also alleged that the PVR hall was not fully air-conditioned and he felt that the AC was not working.

Similarly, there have been various complaints against the PVR.

Manoj Kumar Singh, a doctor from Guwahati who stayed long in Delhi said, "I have watched films in PVR Saket in Delhi, I feel that Guwahati PVR is not maintaining any standard. Other multiplexes are better than PVR in Guwahati."

City Centre PVR official Rajesh Kumar Roy when questioned about today's chaos said, "There was a small technical issue related to audio which was resolved later. We even refunded whoever asked for it." Roy claimed PVR provides good service.
