GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma marked a significant milestone on August 15 with the grand inauguration of the Brahmaputra State Guest House in Kharghuli.
Covering an expansive area of 44,000 square feet, the guest house is poised to become a prime destination for dignitaries and distinguished guests. Designed to offer comfort and convenience, the guest house boasts a range of luxurious amenities.
Among its notable features are two VVIP suites, four VIP suites, and six VIP rooms. Moreover, a state-of-the-art conference room has been incorporated, catering to the needs of important meetings and discussions.
The guest house also includes a dining hall that can host guests for various occasions. Additionally, a security barrack has been strategically placed to ensure the safety and security of all occupants.
Beyond its lavish offerings, the guest house also features accommodations for resident officers. The construction of the VVIP Guest House was completed in 2010, with a project cost of ₹11.50 crore.
