BJP Member Suspended For Anti-Leadership Activities

 

GUWAHATI: In a significant development, Somendra Nath Deka, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam Pradesh, has been suspended from the party with immediate effect. The decision comes in response to allegations of engaging in deliberate sit-ins against the senior leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Deka has been accused of participating in public demonstrations that were perceived as being against the party's interests and in violation of party discipline. The complaint against him led to the suspension decision, which was enacted by Bhabesh Kalita, the President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Assam Pradesh.

Diplu Ranjan Sarma, the General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party, Assam Pradesh, issued the official statement confirming the suspension. This action underscores the party's commitment to upholding its principles and maintaining internal discipline.
