Birubari-Lal Ganesh Flyover Foundation Stone To Be Laid On February 1

GUWAHATI: The foundation stone for a new flyover at Cycle Factory Junction, along the Guwahati-Garbhanga Road, will be laid on February 1. The project, with an estimated cost of ₹376 crore, aims to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance connectivity in the region.

The inauguration ceremony will be attended by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Minister of Housing and Urban affairs, Ashok Singhal. The flyover, spanning 2.84 kilometers, will feature three lanes each with a width of 12 meters, promising smoother traffic flow.

The project's starting point is situated at the junction point after the Arya Nagar Flyover, extending towards Lal Ganesh Market. Notable junctions integrated into the project include Cycle Factory Junction and Bishnupur Junction, Barsapara Cricket Stadium, and Lal Ganesh Market.

The flyover is expected to streamline traffic movement, especially during peak hours, and enhance overall commuting experience for the residents of Guwahati.
