GUWAHATI: Shrinkhal Chaliha, Central Organising Secretary of Bir Lachit Sena have been re-arrested today. He has been labeled an anti-national by the Crime Branch and charged under Section 121 and 124.
Chaliha was already lodged in Barpeta Jail and was produced before the High Court today to hear his bail plea. However, the court reserved the judgment for his bail plea.
Earlier Shrinkhal Chaliha was arrested by the police from Dibrugarh on December 20 under the case no 30/19.
Later, he was charged with case nos. 120B, 121, 121A, 122, 123, 147, 148, 150, 153, 153A, 326, 333, and 353.
