Bikes from Assam set on Fire at Arunachal Pradesh

GUWAHATI: An irate mob in Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh set three motorcycles on fire belonging to bikers from Assam.

According to reports, the locals set the motorcycles ablaze following the death of a local youth in an accident when a motorcycle belonging to the group of Assam bikers hit the youth.

The locals allegedly also attacked the group of bikers. One of the biker identified as Rituraj Neog has been injured in the attack and is currently admitted in Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh.

However, police reached the spot and controlled the situation. 

The police sources further adds, 8 (eight) Bikers without proper Inner Line Permit (ILP) of Assam registration intruded the township and after spending few hours in the Township were returning back when the mishap occurred.  Meanwhile, police has also seized eight motor vehicles and repatriate ILP violators beyond the Dirak Gate.

It is to be mentioned that almost 30 bikers from Assam set off on a road bike trip across Northeast via Kakopathar in Assam.
