The SC/ST groups in Rajasthan have pledged their support for the bandh. According to media reports, police have been instructed to increase their presence across all districts to prevent any unrest.

Rajasthan DGP UR Sahoo confirmed that directives have been issued to the SPs to maintain law and order during the Bharat Bandh.

"We have asked our officials to organize meetings with groups calling for the bandh, as well as with market associations, to facilitate better cooperation," the DGP told the media.

The Supreme Court's ruling, which allows states to create sub-categories within the SC and ST groups, has sparked widespread debate. The ruling states, "Those who really need it should get priority in reservation." This decision has led to the Bharat Bandh, with the main objective being to challenge the court's ruling and demand its reversal.

The bandh is expected to gain support from various social and political organisations, aiming to highlight what they see as an unjust decision by the court. In anticipation of potential violence during the bandh, top police officials conducted a preparatory meeting via video conferencing.

Reports indicate that divisional commissioners, district magistrates, and senior police officers participated in the meeting. Western Uttar Pradesh has been identified as particularly sensitive, prompting police to be on high alert in the region.

Officials are implementing extensive measures to ensure public safety during the protests. While public transport and private offices are typically not operational on such days, emergency services like ambulances will remain functional.
