BCCI Announces Annual Player Contracts For Team India (Senior Men) 2024–25

GUWAHATI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the annual player retainership list for the 2024–25 season on Monday, April 21, covering the period from October 1, 2024  to September 30. The central contracts, divided into four categories—A+, A, B, and C—outline the financial retainers for 34 cricketers in the senior men’s team.

The A+ category includes four players: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja. These cricketers remain the cornerstone of the squad across formats and continue to lead in both seniority and impact.

In Grade A, the board has retained Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant. This group features a mix of experienced players and those who have established themselves in all three formats over the past year.

Grade B features Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer. These players have had intermittent appearances across formats, contributing consistently in limited-overs cricket while remaining on the fringes in Tests.

The largest pool lies in Grade C, which includes 19 players. The list features Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana.
