Reacting to the news, Assam Cricket Association (ACA) President Taranga Gogoi expressed pride in Chetry's achievement, saying, “Uma’s selection is a proud moment for Assam cricket. We wish her all the best as she represents India.”
ACA Secretary Tridib Konwar added, “Her dedication and hard work have been exemplary. We hope she continues to excel and achieve even greater success.”
Although, Chetry’s inclusion marks a milestone for Assam cricket, but her fans were disheartened when she was benched for several matches earlier. Only time will reveal whether she manages to move forward in the playing 11.
