GUWAHATI: In a recent development, the Government of Assam's Environment and Forest Department issued an official notification on February 29, 2024.

As per the notification with ECF No.402063/4, following the retirement on superannuation of Mahendra Kumar Yadav, IFS (RR:1989), and in the interest of public service, Rajpal Singh, IFS (RR:1991), Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Social Forestry), Assam, has been directed to assume the charge of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & HoFF, Assam In Charge with effect from February 29, 2024 (AN), until further orders.

The notification, issued under the orders of Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, read, “Consequent upon retirement on superannuation of Shri Mahendra Kumar Yadav, IFS(RR:1989) and in the interest of the public service. Rajpal Singh, IFS (RR:1991), Principal Chief Conservator Forests (Social Forestry), Assam is hereby directed to take over the charge of Principal Chief Conservator Forests & HoFF, Assam In Charge on 29.02.2024(AN) until further orders.”
