GUWAHATI: Landholders in Guwahati under Mission Bashundhara can now obtain temporary clearance by paying a 10% premium, according to a decision by the Assam Cabinet. The move will allow residents to use their land for various purposes while adhering to legal formalities.

However, if the land is sold, the remaining 90% premium must be paid by the seller. The decision is expected to ease land-related issues and provide clarity for property owners in the city.
In another financial decision, the Cabinet approved a fund of Rs 223.26 crore for microfinance beneficiaries. A total of 78,046 people will benefit from this initiative, providing much-needed financial relief to economically weaker sections.
