GUWAHATI: Olympic Bronze Medallist Lovlina Borgohain won the Women’s National Boxing Championship final Monday night, December 26 by defeating World Youth Champion Arundhati Choudhary.
She displayed a fine approach and skill and dominated the match throughout. The score stood 5-0 in the 75 Kg final.

On the other hand, Ankushita Boro was defeated by Manju Bamboria in the final in a major upset for the fans. The score stood at 4-1 in the 66 Kg category final where Manju was seen dominating the match while Ankushita was unable to play her natural counterattacks.
The finals were held in the new Martial Arts Hall of Tatya Tope Stadium, Bhopal.
