GUWAHATI: The body of a youth was found under mysterious circumstances in Rangia, Assam, on Tuesday morning.
Local sources reported that the body was first noticed by residents in the vicinity, who stumbled upon it in the early morning hours.
The deceased was found lying in a drain near the road, raising immediate concerns about the circumstances leading to their tragic demise.
At this juncture, the precise cause of death has not been ascertained as of yet.
The Officer in Charge of Rangia Police Station while speaking to G Plus stated, “We have recovered the body from the area and have initiated an investigation in the matter. The identity has not been revealed as of yet. We do suspect that the person might have been in an inebriated condition but it’s just speculation as of now.”
The police official also informed G Plus that in order to ascertain the cause of death, the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
