GUWAHATI: A woman, along with two others has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of her former husband in Jonai, located in Assam's Dhemaji district, on Friday, October 25.

An official from the Jonai police station confirmed the arrests to GPlus, stating, “A woman and two others have been arrested for the accusation of murdering her former husband.”
The arrested individuals have been identified as Banita Tao, Amar Tao, and Ashok Tao. The victim, Bhuban Konwar, was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances, according to reports. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects attempted to stage the murder as a suicide to mislead the police.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
