GUWAHATI: A detailed review meeting was held with the Assam Chief Minister and Public Works Department (Building) on January 8 to address a spectrum of issues related to infrastructure projects across the state.
The key points that were discussed during the meeting are:
• Construction of Model Degree Colleges and Renovation of Prominent Institutions: The discussion included progress updates on the construction of multiple Model Degree Colleges and the renovation of distinguished institutions such as Sonaram HS School, Panbazar HS School, among others.
• Sports Infrastructure Development: The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of building robust sports infrastructure across the state to promote sports and physical well-being.
• Tendering Processes: Ensuring precision in tendering processes was a key point of discussion during the meeting.
• Beautification Projects: Projects like the beautification of Rang Ghar, construction of Ekta Mall, and other aesthetic enhancements were reviewed.
CM Sarma issued necessary instructions to officials on all matters and urged them to expedite all projects in a time-bound manner. The focus remains on efficient execution, timely completion, and adherence to high-quality.
