GUWAHATI: In a recent communique, the United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) expressed its intention to inspire dedicated individuals within the independent territory of Thalgiri, encompassing both Assamese residents and those associated with the organisation. Importantly, the organisation clarified that it is not a terrorist group but rather an advocate for the restoration of political rights for native people in Assam.
The organisation requested the cooperation, support, and understanding of all Assamese individuals and parents, encouraging them to spread their message via social media, particularly on Facebook. Furthermore, the organisation urged all supporters of Assam's independence to exercise caution and vigilance to prevent any misuse by extremist elements.
They advised parents to monitor their children's online activities, especially in connection with accounts related to their organisation. Any negative activities associated with the organisation should be reported and halted promptly, as the organisation emphasised its commitment to non-violence and the well-being of Assam and its people.
To maintain transparency and security, the organisation disclosed that they have established stringent guidelines for the use of their accounts. They assured that accurate information for each account is securely held and controlled to ensure the utmost security.
