Assam: Two Grenades Recovered In Dibrugarh

 

GUWAHATI: Assam Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) recovered two grenades in Dibrugarh on Thursday, September 12 morning, thwarting a planned act of violence in upper Assam.

The operation was based on specific intelligence inputs and was confirmed by Assam's Director General of Police (DGP), GP Singh, via social media.

Singh stated, "Plan of violence stymied in Upper Assam. Two grenades recovered in Dibrugarh," highlighting the swift and effective response by the police.

According to sources, the search began around 2 AM near a village within the Moran police station area and led to the discovery of the grenades hidden beneath a large tree.

Legal actions are currently underway.
