GUWAHATI: In a recent development, the Home (A) Department of the Assam government has issued orders for the transfer and posting of several Assistant Police Superintendents (APS) and Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).
Anup Jyoti Borah, APS (DR-2019), currently serving as Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic-III) in the Police Commissionerate, Guwahati, has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) in Bongaigaon. This transfer comes into effect from the date of Borah assuming charge, succeeding Moni Kanta Chamua, APS, who has been transferred.
Phulkan Narzary, APS (DR-2019), who holds the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police (HQ) in the Guwahati Police Commissionerate, is now transferred and designated as Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) in Udalguri. This transfer takes effect from the date of Narzary assuming her new role, filling an existing vacancy.
Moni Kanta Chamua, APS (PR-2021), who currently serves as Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) in Bongaigaon, will now assume the role of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic-III) in the Guwahati Police Commissionerate. This transfer is effective from the date of Chamua taking over charge, succeeding Anup Jyoti Borah.
