GUWAHATI: Assam is planning to set up a zoo-cum-wildlife-rehabilitation-centre in Barak Valley. Reportedly, a team of experts from New Delhi, inspected a site at Rajnikhal in Cachar district earlier this week.
The officials also discussed plans related to placement of cages and according to reports, the zoo will be equipped with facilities like veterinary health centre and food-processing unit.
The area of the proposed site of around 200 hectares.
