GUWAHATI: Assam is all set to get its seventh medical college in Diphu.
This was announced by state Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday, December 21.
Sarma took to his twitter handle and wrote, “We remain committed to peace, progress and people’s welfare!”
“In yet another feather in our record of continuous development, #Assam is set to get its 7th medical college in Diphu,” he added.
A team from Medical Council of India inspected the Diphu Medical College on Dec 20 and 21.
The six medical colleges are Guwahati Medical College, Assam Medical College, Silchar Medical College, Jorhat Medical College, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Tezpur Medical College.
