GUWAHATI: The IMD has predicted that Assam will experience above-normal temperatures on September 23 and 24, 2024.

An IMD official stated, "Due to partly cloudy skies during the daytime and high solar insolation, temperatures in several areas may rise 4-5 degrees above normal in parts of Assam."
According to the IMD, Guwahati recorded a temperature of 38.5°C on September 22, while North Lakhimpur recorded the highest temperature in Assam at 38.6°C. Today's forecast also suggests that Guwahati's temperature will exceed 38°C.
However, with high humidity, it may feel as hot as 48°C.
